Read ‘Em & Reap

This is by far the best project I have worked on.

Read ‘Em & Reap is the senior capstone that my team and I worked on. It’s a point and click comedy adventure in the same vein as the classic LucasArts Games of old.

I cam up with the initial idea a year ago and Bob Crowl instantly liked the idea as well. We developed the story together and wrote it last year.

The story is about Death who looses his scythe and is also suffering a midlife crisis. He goes through a hero’s journey to get it back and in the end has to face up to his choices.

When we pitched the game we weren’t sure how many people would sign up for it, but in the end gained three other students Amanda Hamrick, Sam Beatty, and Haxelle LeMonnier. Also since there always seems to be very few sound design majors in game design we gained Cassidy Lucas as our lead sound designer.

Now that we had a team we began working on the game.

I created Death’s House

and the story board poster for the game

Also I created art assets for the junkyard scene (the teddy bear, the mailtruck, the pillars, junkpile, and chariot).

I put together the River Stix scene and made the water look like it was moving.

I also put together the Eden Park scene.
