Boss Monster is a game by BrotherWise Games and was already turned into a digital game, unbeknownst to us.
Our task was to create a game from a board or card game for our Game Design 2 class and we chose Boss Monster.
I was responsible for the digital art.
If I had the card game myself I probably would have scanned the cards so we could use them in game but luckily found a resource online that already had most of the cards.
After finding this there wasn’t much left to do but using Photoshop to make sure they were all the same size and file type in order to fit into the game properly.
I do have to say I don’t like using these types of resources, especially if it’s taking away from someone else’s work. Even if it is for a student game we still made sure the proper sources for the game art were sited.
